Brenda Gillespie is a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Belton, Texas. She works with children ages 6 and up, as well as adolescents, teens, and adults. Brenda holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and a Master’s in Education with a focus on special education and assessment.
With 32 years of experience in education—including seven years as a certified Professional School Counselor—Brenda brings a deep understanding of child development, learning differences, and the challenges that students and families navigate every day.
Brenda believes that healing begins with a single step, and she is committed to supporting you or your child throughout that process. You can work with her on concerns such as grief, ADHD, autism, parenting, behavior challenges, stress, trauma, and school-related issues. She offers a warm, welcoming environment where you can feel safe and comfortable sharing your thoughts and experiences.
Her therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs and may include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps you identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
- Person-Centered Therapy: Allows you to guide the session while receiving empathetic, nonjudgmental support.
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: Helps you build on strengths, identify solutions, and set future goals.
- Art therapy, sand therapy, and play therapy are also available, providing expressive tools for clients of all ages, especially children.
